Jarabak indicators for training
S-Go measures posterior facial height, N-Me anterior height. Their ratio describes whether the face grows vertically or stays more horizontal. Go angle adds mandibular context. Students benefit from sketching height segments on the tracing before reading numbers. ANB should not replace the vertical block in the record.

Jarabak does not replace Holdaway for extraction by lips. Slavicek adds OP–FH for gnathology. In adults, index prognosis is modest compared with adolescents: interpret with age. CephCalc allows Jarabak and Björk on one tracing.

What is central in Jarabak analysis?
S-Go/N-Me separates hypo- from hyperdivergent patterns. Go and SN-MP describe mandibular inclination. SNA and ANB give skeletal background so vertical relations are not overread in isolation.
How should a resident apply the index at the chair?
Match S-Go/N-Me with the clinic: open bite and long face usually align with a higher index. Record growth type in the plan and adjust expectations for Class II elastics or bite opening.
Which method pairs with Jarabak?
Björk gives polygon sum, McNamara jaw lengths, Ricketts or Hasund a wider report. Switching preset in CephCalc does not require new tracing of S, N, Go, and Me.
What are Jarabak limitations?
